Been for a visit. We can start tomorrow. It's all got to be double dug. Think we will be planning to do it bed by bed or we will never get anything done. Onions and potatoes are going in first, then peas and beans.
Had a lovely walk around Trebaron Garden Centre and bought some Seed Potatoes First Earlies - they are now happily chitting in an egg box so we will be able to plant these once all the double digging has been done. Also got some more seeds; Leeks, carrots and more peas - my daughter loves peas so we could never have too many of them. Also got some Red Baron Onion sets - need to read up on them - any advice on any of these would be lovely so please feel free to share your knowledge. Being first time allotmenteers means we have a lot to learn.

Double digging is so hard....do you really need to do this? There is a really interesting article witten by the 'god' of no digging -Charles Dowling here: http://www.charlesdowding.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/Articles/To_dig_or_not_to_dig_December_2009.pdf
