Just back from a lovely few hours at the allotment. Blue skies and the sun beating down couldn't be better. Still road works near by and the roundabouts out blocked off so we had to park in Bents car park and carry everything across the road. Once arrived on the plot with everything we just had to eat our lunch. Sandwiches and crisps basic is best. All fuelled and ready to go we have managed to put two little raised beds in for our Merren. She simply loves being there and joining in, running around and generally getting mucky.
Once the raised beds at filled with what seemed like endless amounts of compost Merren helped to put in a pea frame with me and planted her favorite treat ~peas.
Then we filled the deeper bed and planted carrots and beetroot. Fingers crossed we will have some shoots soon.
Nick finished digging over our main bed for potatoe, onions, leeks and sweet potatoes. We then made a straightish path from one end to the other and covered in bark.
Looking better every day. Back again soon.
