Potting on, Sowing More

Only went up to do a bit of watering, but ended up there for 2 and half hours.  Potted on some more sweet peppers and tomato plants.  Potted on our new mini cucumber plant which we picked up at Kenyon Hall Farm shop along with some leeks, french marigolds & Lobelia and a gorgeous Black Peppermint plant - wow it smells delicious.

Have been reading up about Black Peppermint - what a useful plant.  Apparently is is a great deterrent for pests like rats and mice - they hate the smell of Mint especially Black peppermint which is what I have just bought on a whim as is smells so wonderful.  I will have to go back and get some more or try to propagate some more plants from this one when its bigger.  We have had all our Cauliflower, red & green cabbage, brussel sprouts and radishes nibbled by something so I will be planting lots of mint around the allotment.

Also needing some advice on herbs, it seems some of the seeds I have sown have been very successful to the point that I think I need to thin them out a bit but as I have no previous experience of herbs I am not sure if I can lift them and plant into little pots to save some or to spread them about the allotment or share with other allotmenteers on the plot and friends and family.  Don't want to waste them ~ need to share some how.
